Living in an RV means every item needs to earn its keep. In this post, I share how a simple felt storage bin became one of the most useful organizers in my camper. From flexible storage to travel-friendly design, here’s why I keep reaching for it—and how it helps keep our tiny home on wheels clutter-free.
CAMPER ORGANIZATION & STORAGE IDEAS

Living in an RV full-time means constantly finding creative ways to stay organized without adding bulk. I’ve tested a fair share of storage solutions over the past year, and this Felt Storage Basket has quietly become one of the most useful items in our camper.
It’s soft-sided but sturdy, which is exactly what I need in a space where hard plastic bins can shift and scuff up cabinets or walls during travel. This collapsible felt storage bin holds its shape surprisingly well but can also be folded down flat when not in use—perfect for tight quarters where every inch matters.
I mainly use it to corral loose items that would otherwise get scattered during drives—like books, small tools, dog leashes, and even those random cords and chargers. The built-in handles make it easy to slide in and out of cubbies or grab when we’re packing up to move.
The grey felt also works aesthetically in our small space. It doesn’t draw attention, which is a big plus when you're trying to keep the RV from looking cluttered. I’ve now got a couple of these felt storage bins with handles stashed in different spots—under the dinette, beside the bed, and even in the overhead compartment above the cab.
Here’s how I’m currently using mine:
A catch-all basket near the RV door for sunglasses, dog bags, and headlamps
Bathroom storage for rolled-up towels and extra toilet paper
A soft “junk drawer” for electronics and odds and ends
Under-bed bin for seasonal clothing and gear
If you’re also living tiny or traveling often, this collapsible organizer is worth a try. It’s lightweight, flexible, and blends in without taking over the space. I didn't expect to rely on it this much, but now I can’t imagine the RV without at least one of these in rotation.
